The Wet Donkey

So, it's been awhile since i've posted. i was in phoenix visiting an old roomie for her birthday. it was sooo hot---i loved it! we went shopping and laid out by the pool and ate. aaah. we went down near Tuscon to see these living caves which was pretty cool, but to be honest, the ones in Puerto Rico are way cooler. Then we went to Tombstone, which was neat, but kinda cheesy and lame, and nobody would tell us what the heck happened there so we went on this dinky little tour. but we still didn't really know. so when we got home we popped in the movie Tombstone, and now we know! except, it's really a corny movie, especially to have all those big actors in it. i thought it was going to be different, but it was still entertaining. lots of shooting.

i started a striped raglan in the airport going down there. it went soooo fast! so fast in fact, that i didn't even think of taking DPNs for the sleeves b/c i didn't think i would get that far. but i did. so before i left we stopped by Joann's to pick some up. but it was the ghettoest of ghetto stores, and didn't have any DPNs. so i got another circ and hoped that i could figure out how to knit in the round using 2 circs all by myself. well, i didn't. so i didn't get ANY knitting done on the flight home. so sad. but that Joann's DID have a pack of DPNs--5 of each of 000,00,0, and 1 for only 10 bucks!! So i had to grab that too! I think i could totally make money off of those on ebay. but i think i'll keep em and try and make socks. but just thinking of knitting with needles that small makes my hands cramp up.

i heard from my secret pal already--and she said she sent a package!! hooray!! so i rush home everyday to check the mail. nothing yet....maybe tomorrow!!!

i've been getting things to send to my secret pal--and so far i think it's a great package! i picked up some yarn yesterday, only to get home and check her blog and realized i guessed wrong on what colors she likes. well, half wrong. so i gotta go back tomorrow and exchange it. i picked up some great patterns for a buck there too. score!

i'm back in school, which sucks, especially since it's from 12-3 every single day, which means i have to drag my butt into work at 7 and leave at 11. ugh. at least it's only for 2 weeks. only 8 more days left!

speaking of school, i should prolly go read my assignment so i don't have to do it tonite when hubby's home.
