I have been having major blogging withdrawals, but no time to post. Like, it's gotten to the point where I'll think of something or see something and think, "man, I wish I could blog that!" But alas, there is no time. Nor am I on a computer nearly as much as I used to be. Tis very sad indeed. But at least I have good things to show for it. I have gotten all A's on every quiz and test I have taken so far in the past 6 weeks of nursing school. Hooray for me!
The Olympics are finally over, and I can finally resume control of the clicker. It was sad to see them go, but us darn Americans were choking so much I was ready to let them go. See you in 4 years!
So, as you know I have been babysitting 3 kids, 3 days a week for the past month. It all started out OK, and things have been going downhill rapidly. The oldest girl, who's 10, gives me MAJOR attitude. The middle girl ,6, will too if the older one starts it up. Then there's the 4 year old boy who throws hissy fits all the time. Well, I've really hated it for about 3 weeks, but have been sucking it up because, hey, it's a paycheck. But yesterday was the last straw. Mostly my problem is with the oldest girl. She has ZERO manners, and zero respect for what I say. It's a constant battle to get her to do her homework, to not hit her siblings, to just be a good kid. It's exhausting. And honestly, it's not worth my time to put up with her crap. I will not stand for rudeness or disrespect. It's frustrating, too, because they're not my kids and I can't really do anything. And it's frustrating that the parents aren't really around to teach them anything. And even when they're home on the weekends, they go out with their friends and leave the kids with more babysitters. So I quit. Hooray!
I daydream about the beach and warm weather all the time these days. I've had enough of the cold and the ugly snow. We're going to NYC for a wedding in June which I can't wait for. Lots of shopping, lots of shows. From there I'm going home for my brother's high school graduation (which I can't believe is already happening---ack!!!). Then the next week we're off to Cali for a week at the beach. A whole week of doing nothing except for sitting on the beach and drinking Cactus Coolers. Ahhhh....And then it's back to Milwaukee. Blah. We might be going to Boston in October though for BYU football, so that will be cool. Hopefully I can go with my school schedule. I'll be so bummed if I'm left behind.
You know what I'm addicted to lately? Myspace.com. It's so funny to see what people from my high school are doing. Or not doing. Bunch of bums. Still, I can't stay off it!
Ok, well, I'm feeling less than healthy today so I should probably hit the sack. Plus, I'm meeting a friend to study at 8am tomorrow. A friend that I didn't have a month ago, but now we're almost inseperable. It's so rare for me to find a girlfriend that I really click with, so I love it when I do find one. She's only 21, which when I think about it, is pretty young, but I never would have guessed that if she hadn't told me. Plus, we're both addicted to makeup, so we get along great!
nite!

Is anyone watching American Idol?? Ace is just the cutest thing ever. But I like the Fred Savage look-alike too---he was the last one picked tonite in case you watched. And Simon is mysteriously sexy. love him.
My plug for the day is Bloglines. Do you know about it?? You sign up on their site and enter all your favorite blogs and then you just check that site every day and it tells you whether or not a blog you read has been updated. LOVE it. Keeps me from having to click on each and every blog I read only to see they haven't updated in like, 3 months. So, if you're tired of clicking here to mine only to find that I haven't updated, perhaps bloglines is the answer. I've been using it for months and love, love, love, it.
I'm going to start making a list of things I want to do before I die. Here are a few I've come up with. In not particular order.
1. Spin the big wheen on The Price is Right. And win.
2. Compete in a triathlon
3. Kiss under the Eiffle Tower
Not too farfetched, right???
Ok, back to the Olympics. Where the Americans are NOT making a very good showing tonite. :(

Nothing extremely exciting going on, I'm just postponing my studying for Pathophysiology. First test tomorrow, we'll see how it goes! I did spend the majority of the weekend studying. During the less-than-exciting olympic events. By now I am sick of hearing about Michelle Kwan and how she dropped out. I was soooo sad to see Apolo Ohno not make it to the finals. He should have just left well enough alone and been happy with 2nd in the semis. Dorkus.
Last weekend I saw Brokeback Mountain, which I have to say I liked a lot. Great acting, and a great story. Very interesting. I recommend it to the open-minded.
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone tomorrow! We are doing our traditional Valentine's Day Fondue Dinner. It's so lame to go out and spend a truckload for a commercialized holiday anyway. I like staying in and watching a movie and eating lots of yummy food. mmmmm.....

25?!?!?
Happy Birthday to me!! As my dad would say, I'm a quarter of a century old, and that officially classifies me as an antique. Yikes!!
To celebrate, Derrick is taking me out for sushi. Yummmm.....I'm freezing, starving, and know that some Miso soup will do just the trick. can't wait!!!
Thanks to everyone who sent me an email or card--you guys are the best!!!
