The results are in!!! (MOM & DAD DON'T READ THIS!!!!)

So is it sugar and spice and all things nice, or snips and snails and puppy-dog tails??? What do you think? Is this the friendly wave of our cute little girl, or is our little boy already slamming (root) beers in utero?

Well....I see no weiner parts, so it must be a GIRL!!!!! We are so excited! I would have been excited to hear either boy or girl, but when I heard girl I practically squealed on the table and started clapping. Mostly b/c I was relieved that what little "mother's intuition" I had was correct.

Now come the name debates. Luckily we agree on most names. But the lovely Miss Erica G. has requested that I open the forum to you, the readers, to suggest names. So fire away!

And bring on the PINK! Because, let's be honest, just because it's a she doesn't mean Derrick won't be teaching her all things sports just the same!

PS-My parents don't want to know what it is...so if you know them/talk to them...don't spill the beans!!

Do your parents not read your BLOG???

Congrats! I am so glad we had a girl first. She is such a mommy to all her many brothers...

;-) Although I'm hungry for a baby girl again. I'm scared to try. It could be another boy. ;-)

Hooray! I was so excited when I heard you were having a girl! I'll dust the old thinking cap off and come up with some good names.

Ah, they won't be able to resist reading this!

Congrats! This is so exciting. When is your shower? I must be invited.

When I found out we were having a girl I couldn't have been more thrilled. I think my heart jumped out of my throat. I just think having a girl is so wonderful. I can't imagine having a boy though! I'm afraid of their "wiener parts!"

I am so happy for you! Maybe if we ever see each other again our girls can play together! They won't be that far apart in age!

Your beautiful little girl is lucky to have you guys as parents. She will no doubt grow up to be super fun, social, and a guy magnet just like her mommy was/is. I am excited to shop for her and I can hardly wait to see her.

Congratulations! My motherly intuition didn't work out for me that way! In my heart of hearts I wanted a little girl. I'm kinda jealous...you get to shop for the CUTEST things! I like Lucy, Sammy and Payton for girl names but that's just me. Seems like she's running her first marathon in there!

Karen I totally commented on this post! Did you delete my comment?:) Anyways, congrats and I am super excited for you guys. As of the whole name thing, I personally am old school and I like to keep family names going.

Oh and about Sonic, I totally thought this was the first one in Illinois, oops. But I am glad to know if we ever head down south to Champagne that we could stop at the one there. I think you and Derrick should come down and visit us now that you have more of an incentive!

Yay for little girls! I am really excited for you guys. Little girls have the cutest clothes. There is something about little teeny tiny dresses that makes everyone go "Aahhh".

I prefer Karencita. Then, when she is older, she can take off the cita.
