Insert title here.

Well, tomorrow is The Big Day. Traffic Court Day. I have no idea what I'll say, to be honest. I just hope they take off the points and let me pay the fine. Maybe I'll wear my lowest cut shirt (ok, for us MoMo's, that's to my collar bone) and see what the judge thinks.

First day of work went well. I pretty much read the whole day. I'm almost finished with "A Painted House" by John Grisham. My mom brought it to me awhile ago and I'm just not getting around to reading it. It's pretty good...the end is coming quickly and I'm still waiting for things to resolve. I should probably finish it tomorrow. Then it's on to "Fast Food Nation", which I started at BYU but for some reason never finished it. I'm excited for that one. I remember it being really interesting when I started it.

My wee "garden" is growing. I started with just cilantro and basil plants, but now I have parsley, tomatoes, and green onions. Very exciting. Tonite I made Cilantro Turkey Burgers, one of my favorite summer BBQ recipes, with cilantrol that I grew! Proud mama, I am. And because I like you so much, here's the recipe:

Cilantro Turkey Burgers

1 1/2 lb. ground turkey
1 c. packed cilantro with stems
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
2 tsp. minced garlic
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. olive oil - for tops of burgers

Grill oil down for 8 minutes, flip 8-10 minutes. Top with Cilantro Orange Mayo.

Cilantro Orange Mayo

1 c. mayo
1 c. packed cilantro
1/2 tsp. grated orange peel
1 tsp. orange juice

(I usually halve the recipe, b/c who really need a whole CUP of this stuff??? Not me. It's good, but it usually goes bad before I can use it all.)

Enjoy!

Is there anything that you don't do! Your cakes and cookies that you make look amazing, your knitting is awesome, you have a little garden, you keep multiple blogs, you always have funny clips (etc.) from the internet, you cook amazing meals and you always look beautiful! I am lucky if I get one of the above done. What is your secret?

In relation to cooking: I've decided if I really want to make the most out of the unfortunately large amounts of TV I've been watching, I should watch a LOT more food network. You can actually learn a lot of things that are applicable on a day by day basis. I have learned lots of usable things I never knew about food from that channel. I should watch it more.
