Dude, where's my car?

I walked through the parking garage at work for a solid 10 minutes looking for my car this morning. I was convinced it was stolen. Some of my thoughts as I wandered in the cold: "Did I lock the back seat door after I unloaded groceries yesterday?" "I knew I should have taken my CD face plate off." "Who would steal a purple Corolla with only two mismatched hubcaps?" I had already had the conversations in my mind with Derrick, Allstate, the security at the hospital. But I was cool, calm, and collected. Hey, maybe I could get an upgrade out of the deal. I tried to remember everything that was in my car so I could tell the insurance company. The only thing that brought me mild panic was knowing my Old Navy Stuff and Save bag was in there. Bummer.

I finally found it. It was lower than I thought. 24 straight hours awake will make you a wee bit crazy.

I've "misplaced" my car no less than four times in the Children's Hospital garage...

I feel your pain.
