License plate sighting of the day: When Jesus said "love thy enemies", I'm pretty sure he meant "don't kill them".
I laughed when I read it. Kinda true tho, if we all just got along, things would be way better!
Today I had lunch with my friends Janice and Sabahat--the ones who stood me up last night. I, of course, gave them the guilt trip. We went to our old lunching spot, Singha Thai, which in my opinion has the best Thai food in Milwaukee. Sab is prego, due in 6 weeks. She is one my bestest friends here in Milwaukee--we met at HK, and then she left me for another job. And Janice is probably two and a half times my age but a great friend too. We shared a quad cube. She's hilarious.
And since I was down that way, I headed to the mall after lunch. And what's at the mall?? H&M!! So I got some more stuff. Sigh. So therapeutic. Oh, and went to the other and got some cute tan wedges. I don't really have anything that goes with them, but I'm sure I can pull something together.
Now I'm all packed and ready to go. Well, minus the stuff I need to get ready tomorrow. Linds is taking us to the airport and in less than 24 hours I'll be sleeping in the middle of Times Square! Well, I'll at least be there...maybe not sleeping yet. Cities get me so excited. I'd much rather visit a city than camp or hike or whatever it is hippy-granolas do. I'll take skyscrapers over mountains anyday of the week. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate nature. But I don't feel the need to constantly "be at one" with it.
So, we've done the big stuff in NYC, and last year we did all the little stuff we wanted to do. Any suggestions on what to do this trip? Favorite deli, shop, show? Lemme know!
