Celebrity me and my balls

Thanks to everyone for all of my birthday wishes! So nice of you! I wound up feeling TONS better that afternoon and decided to take the leap and go get sushi anyway. It was deeeeelish. We got way too much and left stuffed. YUM. Came home and had birthday cake, made especially by Chef-boy-ar-Derrick. Funfetti cake. The best! I opened my birthday cards--typical cash from the grandparents, gift card from the parents. Derrick got me these super cute shoes from the Buckle. White casual sneakers--Bullboxers. I'm dying to wear them but it's so slushy and gross out I'm scared to. Oh, and he got me a dozen roses. Really pretty...orangey yellow. He said they were half get well and half happy birthday. What a stud.

So today was the big day--our Price is Right air date. It was fabulous. So much fun to watch it all again. We had a house full of people over to watch it and hang out. Fun times. If you didn't get to see it, I can arrange a private viewing for you. For a small fee, of course. ;) You don't really get to see me all that much, b/c everytime you think you might see me, Derrick jumps in front of me and steals my screentime. Bitch. Haha. Still, it was lots of fun, and Kathleen was great.

I took in Oreo balls to the hospital on Thursday, as a belated birthday treat, and they were a huge hit. Every time I make them people love them. So I feel I should share the goodness and pass the recipe on to you. Really, they are incredible.

Oreo Balls

1 pkg Oreos
1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese, softened
White Almond Bark

In either a blender or food processor, chop up oreos until it looks like dirt. No chunks! Then, mix in the cream cheese. Shape into balls and chill for about 30 minutes. Dip in melted almond bark. Let cool. Viola!

I use a toothpick to dip the balls, it's easier and less messy. I'm not even kidding, these are delicioso. Make them now!!

*Whew* The title of your blog made me nervous at first! ;-)
I made those over Christmas. They ARE delish! (only I made them with dark chocolate.) My Father-in-law ate nearly the whole tray by himself.

What's the almond bark?

Almond Bark is "vanilla flavored candy coating". You can find it in Wal-Mart by the baking stuff. Or you can use white chocolate, or milk chocolate, or dark chocolate, whatever you want. Even mint flavored chocolate...mmmmm...
