The sun will come up, in three months...

For the past two days all we've been hearing about is this terrible blizzard that was coming. Friday night it snowed, and by Saturday morning we had about a foot in front of my garage that we had to shovel. I had to go coach our YM for the volleyball tournament, (read: stand there and pretend to know what I was talking about). I guess I didn't do too hot of a job, b/c they lost. So sad. Anyway, after I was done I rushed to the grocery store and headed home b/c snow was soon coming. Well, I came home, and waited. And waited. And waited. And the snow never came. It was mainly just windy. I was expecting to wake up to 2 feet this morning but there was hardly anything! NOT that I am complaining, mind you, but if you're going to hype something up so much, you had better show some results. At least church was cancelled today. So now we're just hanging out. Had pancakes and bacon. Now just being slugs on the couch.

I love this time of year b/c it's usually when all of our travel plans for the year start taking shape. We booked our tickets to Texas the other day. We are FINALLY goign to Texas!! Derrick has never met any of my Mom's side of the family. Never. We're going down in May, right after finals. Should be a lot of fun, and hopefully the weather is nice.

I'm going to Minneapolis for Spring Break next month with my friends Lindsey and Courtney. Just for a couple days, going to the Mall of America. Should be a lot of fun. We're super excited--just to get out of Milwaukee for a bit. Sure, most people head South during Spring Break....but hey, we work with what we got.

Then it's the beach in Cali in June, cousin's wedding in Erie in July, maybe NYC in July while Derrick's at market, maybe Vegas in August (market again), Derrick's HS friend's wedding in Denver in October, Thankgiving/my nephew's baptism in Phoenix, and CT for Christmas. Love it! I love thinking about going to these places and all the things to do and see, and Derrick thinks about paying for the plane tickets. :)

I think it's time for another nap...

That's weird, we got about a foot here! Hmmmm...they did say some parts got a lot and some didn't. Aren't you lucky? ;-)

Today has been a VERY slow day. I almost prefer the hustle of getting ready for church/going to church over this boring crap.
