She's crafty, she gets around

I used leftover fabric from my nursing cover and whipped up a diaper wipe cover. A little hot glue and some batting and voila! It doesn't really close very well...not sure what the deal is. And these little suckers are hard to find--the travel wipes aren't by the regular wipes. I had to find them in the travel bins at Target.

Last week I bought a dresser off of Craigslist for $25 and repainted it black. The man at Home Depot was super helpful and set me up with the right paint and supplies.

I have since put on new knobs on the top drawer. I debated drilling holes in the other drawers, but I'm thinking I don't want to now. We'll throw a changing pad on top and call it good.

And now it matches our brand new crib! We opted for just a crib, and not a 4 in 1. Because really, if we have kids close to each other, like we want, then the only kid who will really benefit from all 4 is the last one. And who knows if it'll even last that long. Still, I love this crib, and I put it together all by myself! (And my back paid for it later that night.)

Very crazy that these pieces of furniture are in our apartment, and not going anywhere soon. But very exciting! 3 months to go!

Yay! It will go by slow probably since you're counting the days, if you are anything like I was. But it will go by fast for your readers!

So are you going to be one of those ladies who has a million kids like a year apart? Crazies.

Your totally smart on getting just a crib and not the 4 in 1. The dresser looks awesome and I am so impressed with your crafty skills! I seemed to have skipped the craft boat because I am so not creative.

you ARE crafty. and i could have written this post myself... we too opted for just the crib for the same reason. and my parents had a spare dresser that was pitch white and i decided i was going to paint it cherry to match... my dear husband advised against it but i knew it could pull it off. and don't worry, just a few full christmas vacation days, many tears from me at the thought that i had ruined it (i was like 8 1/2 months pregnant at the time) and about the cost of a new dresser later, he was able to fix the mess that i had made with it. so job well done to you!
