Game on!

I have always loved to play games. Video games, board games, card games, word games, you name it. I love traveling to see family because heavy game playing is usually involved. Last weekend we got to play games with different people both Friday AND Saturday night. It was awesome. I sucked both nights, losing in all games played, but I didn’t care. It was fun. Especially since we learned a couple of new and really cool games. Always a bonus.

Playing games with people brings out different aspects of their personality, I think. If they are competitive, you’re sure to find out. And it’s more interesting and fun than sitting and watching a movie. Plus, there’s usually some kind of snackage involved, so that’s always good.

Last night I had a dream that I was playing Tetris with who looked like Coolio, but in my dream it was Cypress Hill. Um, am I Insane in the Membrane?? Of course, I totally creamed Mr. Hill. Perhaps this dream came from my recent gaming excitement and my desire to go to Mexican Fiesta tomorrow. Because did you know, Cypress Hill was the first Latino group to have an album go platinum? Yeah, me neither.

Sometimes I like to google image search the topic of blog posts and see what the first image that pops up is. Here’s the winner for “gamers”gamers

Could that be any more awesome?

So, all you closet and open gamers….if you’re bored on a Friday or Saturday night, chances are we are too. Let’s get our games on!

If we lived closer to you, we would totally come over and play games.
And yes playing games=eating lots of good snack food.

I saw Pitchcar (and Pitchcar Mini) on a Deal-a-Day site yesterday and today and thought about last week's game night.

Super fun.

Do let us know what games you played on Saturday.

We played a version of Rook, that did not use the Rook card. Is it still considered Rook?? Hmmm...

The Hedgecocks taught us Bohnanza, a game about beans. Super fun. And Pitchcar Mini, which is like a real live Mario Kart. Also fun.

DeAnn...I LOVE nertz!!!! Derrick hates it, but that's because he's a slowpoke. And you can definitely come over for any and all BYU games!
