This past weekend my friend Adam drove up from Missouri to visit us. We were in the same freshman ward at BYU and we’ve remained friends all these years. We did all the classic Milwaukee things: Brewer’s game, brewery tour, and eat, eat, eat.
Nothing better than a giant pickle at a baseball game!
We toured Lakefront Brewery, which was fun and their maple root beer is pretty good too. Different tasting than regular micro brewed root beers, but tasty nonetheless.
This is the beer mug that Bernie the Brewer used to slide into after a home run. Lakefront saved it from demolition.
Laverne & Shirley have some kind of tie so we sang the song at the end and waved to this little bottle.
We ate at the Comet Cafe which was on Diners, Drive-In’s and Dives. The food looked amazing on TV and it did not disappoint. Talk about comfort food. I got the open-faced meatloaf sandwich, Derrick got the turkey dinner in a ball, and Forgie got the mac n cheese. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it.
The rest of the time was spent playing games and generally having a great time. We stayed up late playing Super Mario Bros. 3, which was awesome. I haven’t had that much fun playing Nintendo in a long time.
We also played a game of Risk, which I haven’t played since BYU. Derrick and I got creamed by Forgie who claimed to have not played in “forever”. Yeah right.
Thanks for coming! We had a great time!

There's nothing like a giant pickle anywhere!
(I feel like there's a joke from the Office to be made here but I'm not sure what it is)
Looks like you guys had an awesome time!
Can you believe it's been 10 years already since freshman year?? Crazy!
Why am I just now seeing this on your blog? Man, you are right, I freaking suck at blogs!!
For real though, I had a great time, and Summer is the cutest, best behaved baby I've ever met!
And it's true, I haven't played Risk since my mission. I am just that awesome. I am Rain Man for Risk. Maybe I shouldn't brag about that!
