Enough of seeing that lame post. I’m still pretty bitter about how dishonest and crappy our society is these days, but I had a few things happen in our families that helped to really put things in perspective. Cameras can be replaced, and while the images can’t, there will be plenty more.
Besides, I kind of needed a new camera. :)
So after waiting over a week and calling and checking and still nothing showing up I went ahead and bought a new one. After much research and shopping around I decided on the Nikon D3100, which is essentially the same as my old D40 but with a few extra perks, like HD video. I got a combo kit with an extra 55-200mm lens. Sa-weet. Although now I’m totally wanting at 10-24mm wide angle lens. Maybe for Christmas?????

They always say there's no great loss without some small gain--although in your case you got a pretty sweet gain!
