Buyer Beware

If you've seen these in your grocer's freezer and thought, "Hey! Now I can enjoy Ice Cream of the Future in the comfort of my own home, instead of at a ball game, or fair, or mall," please, let me assure you that you can NOT. Even if you have a Buy One Get One Free coupon, you should NOT buy these. Because you will be super excited to eat them, thinking that now you can get knock off Dippin' Dots for a mere buck. And then you will take a bite, and you will be SORELY disappointed, and you won't take more than one bite, because they taste truly awful, and very chemically, and they leave an awful taste in your mouth, and you won't even consider wasting any precious calories on these little spheres of disgustingness.

Sometimes you just can't make a good copycat. This is one of those times. Save the ice cream pellets for the games, fairs, and malls. It's worth the extra money, trust me.

I thought the secret to dippin' dots was that they stored them at like sub zero temperatures?

I don't think you get the same effect without the sub zero. I know! Just wait a couple months then go buy some and just leave them outside on your balcony and then the sub zero Wisconsin are will take care of it!! See now you know why you moved to the WI! You can't do that down in ole sunny Florida, what with it's sunny sandy beaches and warm crystal water, blech who wants THAT!!!

I've bought 'em twice. Enjoyed them twice. Maybe you shouldn't get the plutonium flavor next time.
