Labor Day

True to Wisconsin form, Labor Day was chilly. We started out the day with breakfast at The Cracker Barrel, then went up to Pike Lake for a hike. Yes, let it be known that our family willingly decided to go on a hike! There’s a lookout tower about a mile away from the parking lot that was supposed to be pretty easy. And it was! Hannah, and her tiny toothpick legs, tuckered out about 3/4 of the way and had to be carried, but Summer walked the whole way and back. It was a very pretty hike and the girls saw and found lots of treasures along the way. I’ll bet the fall colors are gorgeous there. We’ll have to go back.

Work it, girls!aDSC_3639 aDSC_3644 aDSC_3646 I have no idea why they are kissing this rock. aDSC_3651 View of Holy Hill in the distance. aDSC_3654 aDSC_3657 aDSC_3661 aDSC_3666 The tower! Everyone climbed to the top! Except Tessa. She was being lazy. aDSC_3671 IMG_0857 Later that afternoon we went to a BBQ at a friend’s house. They made amazing Mexican street corn. Hannah ate like 3 cobs of plain corn. We definitely saw that corn again the next day! You know what I’m talkin’ about!IMG_0864
